As Christians we are  called to give generously to the work of God through the life of our local church. Giving to the church helps form us into more faithful and generous disciples and supports the essential mission and ministry of our church.  Through the tithes and offerings that are given, we help make disciples of Jesus Christ and participate in God’s work of transforming the world.

Fulton Community Church is pleased to announce a convenient new way to make your regular tithe and offerings. With our electronic giving program, you can easily set up a recurring giving schedule or make one-time contributions. We encourage you to set up a schedule of recurring contributions. It’s convenient for you and provides much-needed consistency for our church. If you are currently giving on a weekly basis, you will no longer need to write out 52 checks a year or prepare 52 envelopes. Even when travel, illness or other circumstances prevent you from attending services, our church will continue to receive your contributions on an uninterrupted basis.  To become an electronic giver, follow the steps listed below or visit the church office for assistance.

Electronic Giving FAQs

What are the major advantages of electronic giving?

Electronic giving is all about convenience for you and consistency for the church. It eliminates frequent check writing and helps you stay on track with with your giving commitment even when you are unable to attend worship. The church in turn benefits from consistent donations and a reduction in the volume of check/cash contributions that must be handled and manually processed by our counters.

Is electronic giving safe?

Absolutely, and it is less risky than writing checks or carrying cash. To process electronic donations, we use Vanco Payment Solutions—a highly regarded company that securely processes contributions for more than 15,000 churches and nonprofit organizations.

What can I use to prove I made a contribution?

If you make donations from the online giving page and entered your email address, you will be emailed a receipt. You can also access your giving history 24/7 by logging into your profile from the online giving page. If you choose to make a payment directly from your bank account, your bank statement will show an itemized list of electronic transactions that can be used as proof of your contributions.

How does a donation move from my bank account to the church’s bank account, and when?

For donations from a checking or savings account, money is electronically transferred from your bank account to the church’s bank account on the same day using the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network. For donations made by credit and debit card, money is electronically deposited into the church’s bank account without delay within 2-4 business days.

When I choose to give by Credit Card, it’s giving me the option to give an extra 2.75 percent to help offset the processing fee.  What’s going on with that?

Like any service, there is a small charge associated with this one. This charge is very reasonable (within averages within the industry) and in the vast majority of churches is more than offset by the gains in giving that come with electronic giving. Our church pays a small percentage of what we receive by Credit Card in exchange for the benefit of receiving payment by credit card.  That said, some folks really want the church to receive the absolute maximum with each gift.  If that is the case, you have the option to cover the processing fee for us.  Simply select this box and your gift will be increased by 2.75% to make up for this charge.
